Placing Ad:
Registration
The first step to placing your rental ad is to register. Because we respect your privacy we do not collect any
unnecessary information. In fact one of the advantages of this site is that you may see what your ad will look like before you
even pay to place your ad!
You must use a valid e-mail address as your account name. You account will be activated once you click on the link of the registration e-mail
or enter the information on the verification page. If you have any difficulties please e-mail me
admin@cascobayrentals.com.
The password can be any length, just make it hard enough that some one can not guess your password and
maliciously edit your account. The Name field simply allow us to personalize messages to you.
Account Type is the most important
question on the registration page.
- Browse
- Not currently used. In the future may be used to require login to see ad information.
- Free Non-Commercial Ad
- This ad will always be free. If you own the property you wish to rent you may use this ad type. The information displayed in this ad is somewhat limited. Info displayed: 1 picture; Introductory paragraph; Base information such as Island, water view, etc; and Contact e-mail
- Non-Commercial Ad
- This ad is currently free, next year the future will cost $100. If you own the property you wish to rent
you may use this ad type. The information displayed is extensive.
- Lots and lots of room for text, to fully describe your rental.
- Fully describe your amenities and features by clicking appropriate boxes.
- Use Google maps to accurately pinpoint the location of your cottage.
- Use a calendar to show availability.
- Free anonymous e-mail for your ad if desired.
- Up to 5 pictures to display.

- Commercial Ad
- If you are a broker or don't own the property, you must use a commercial ad. This ad is free until at least July 1, 2007; after that you have the option of continuing the ad for $250 a year for the first ad and $50 for every ad thereafter. The information displayed is extensive, see Non-Commercial ad for details.
After you register you will receive a verification e-mail. To verify your registration you may click or paste the link; or go to the verification page and enter the verification code, e-mail, and password. After you are verified you will be logged in and you will be brought to the Myaccount page.
My Account Page back to top
The My Account page is the portal for creating or editing your ad. It allows you to edit your
account information, check the expiration date of your account, and displays payment status.
When the payment, portion of this site goes live, the payment status of your account will be the
first message you see. Your ad may not go live until payment is made. Payments are processed through
Pay Pal, and charged by Cadillac Web Development.
The default name for your Ad is "Your Ad". You may edit the name of this Ad and
the AD by clicking the name, which brings you to the edit listing page for
"Your Ad".
In the "Edit your account information" portion you may change your name, account type,
and if you have a commercial account you may add Ads to your account. You may also check the expiration
date of your Ad. If you need to change your e-mail address please contact us.

You edit your ad from the Edit listing page. In addition to creating your ad, this page also
allows you to turn your ad on and off; tells you if the site administrator has your
ad on or off; allows you to see how your ad will look; you can check your anonymous e-mail account,
if you established one; and allows you to change the
name of your ad, especially important if your account is a
commercial account with multiple ads.
The first two links:Pre-view Full ad and Pre-view Small Ad allows you to see what your ad
will look like to a prospective renter. It is also a good place to start, and return to as
you create your ad. When you pre-view your ad it also indicates if your Ad is on or off.
To create your ad you will fill in the information requested in the following links:
Property description, text and titles, amenities, map location, availability, upload
pictures, Contact, and Rates and Terms. Some ad types do not display all of the information
to the end user. If you have a Premium Non-Commercial Ad or a Commercial Ad all of the
information entered will be displayed. To create your ad move through the
eight links and enter the appropriate information. Make sure to save your work by hitting
the submit button on the bottom of each page. If you enter text or pictures your
account will be temporarily locked until the ad has been reviewed for appropriateness. This
